It’s pretty. It’s popular.

This magical place sold its soul to mass tourism and became a phoney. The access is expensive, the medieval streets are covered in cheesy restaurants selling hot dogs and oysters and kinky souvenir shops. Plus the hordes of noisy tourists. It’s hard to grasp the magnificence.

I was too disappointed to be able to be positive.
