Today I got up at 5 am, put on a wet suit, hopped on a boat and saw the sunrise in the water with a buncha manatees. Then snorkelled a bit in a spring and had breakfast.
I found this little one today, nearly drowning in the buckets from where my dogs drink. After warming up in my hand, it dried its wings and flew again. Usually, I snatch them from one of my dog’s mouths when one of them passes by with a guilty look and I hear a muffled “Chirp! Chirp!”. These usually don’t have a good prognosis, though.
